Frequently asked questions
How is this different from Notion or Obsidian?
Those are better than Stilou at structure you build and maintain deliberately, and if yours is maintained you should keep it. Stilou's case starts where the maintaining stopped — the vault abandoned in March, the calls nobody wrote down. Can my team use it?
Not together. There is no team plan, shared workspace or admin layer, and none is close. One person, one Mac, one brain. If you need shared call notes, Granola is a better answer and we say so on our comparison page.
Is it safe for fundraising and salary conversations?
In Private mode the model runs on your Mac and nothing is transmitted, which is the strongest answer we can give for material like that. In Connected mode a request sends the passage it needs to a hosted provider. Which mode you are in is visible in the app, and /privacy sets out exactly which surfaces do what.
What does it cost?
