Comparison pages are almost always written by the winner, which is why nobody believes them. These are written to a set of rules we have published below and kept on every page — including the ones that end by recommending someone else.
Stilou is compared here against Wispr Flow and Superwhisper (dictation), Granola (meeting notes), Raycast (command bar) and ChatGPT (assistant). Most of them beat Stilou on price, platform coverage or maturity, and each page says so. The single thing Stilou does that none of them do is keep everything you capture in one local memory that connects itself.

Every page says where the other product wins
Not a token paragraph — a section, written in the competitor's strongest terms. Three of these five pages recommend the other tool outright for a large group of readers, and one of them tells you to keep your existing subscription.
Every fact is sourced and dated
Prices, platforms and privacy claims come from the competitor's own site or documentation, listed at the foot of each page with the date we checked. Products change; an undated claim quietly becomes a false one.
If we could not verify it, we do not print it
Two of these pages deliberately omit competitor prices because we could not load the official page well enough to quote a figure we would be willing to publish about another company. Secondhand “X pricing 2026” blog posts are usually written by a competitor and are not a source.
Tell us when we are wrong
If something here is out of date or unfair — including if you work at one of these companies — write to hi@stilou.app and we will correct it. That has to be a real offer for the rest of this to mean anything.
